What You'll Do

The Legal Assistant will be a vital part of MGT's Legal team, focusing on managing core operational processes, ensuring compliance, and enhancing efficiency across all legal workflows. This role is crucial for maintaining the smooth operation of legal activities within a fast-paced and growing organization.

  • Prepare, format, and meticulously proofread legal documents, correspondence, and reports.
  • Maintain and update legal files and sophisticated document management systems with utmost accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Take ownership of vendor and partnership contracts, including comprehensive review, negotiation, and approval workflows.
  • Coordinate all aspects of document execution, including notarization and streamlined e-signature processes.
  • Proactively track critical deadlines related to contracts, litigation, and compliance matters, alerting relevant stakeholders in a timely manner.
  • Support entity management, corporate filings, and related reporting requirements to ensure regulatory adherence.
  • Assist with corporate insurance and surety activities, managing necessary documentation and processes.
  • Aid in lease portfolio management, including effective landlord communication, document tracking, and precise record maintenance.
  • Conduct thorough legal research on statutes, regulations, and case law as directed by legal staff.
  • Organize and maintain electronic legal files, ensuring they are audit-ready and efficiently retrievable.
  • Assist in preparing professional presentations, reports, and summaries for leadership review.
  • Schedule meetings, appointments, and coordinate team logistics to support seamless operations.
  • Respond to internal inquiries regarding legal processes promptly and with a high degree of professionalism.

What You'll Bring

  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience is preferred for this role.
  • Three (3) or more years of direct experience supporting a legal department, a law firm, or a similar corporate administrative function.
  • Demonstrated strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, essential for drafting and interacting with various stakeholders.
  • Solid knowledge of legal terminology, concepts, and established procedures.
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint); familiarity with legal document management systems is highly valued.
  • The ability to handle highly confidential information with utmost discretion and integrity.
  • Strong time-management skills and a proven ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with contract management, corporate filings, or legal operations is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with Salesforce and Conga is considered a valuable plus.
