About the Role
MGAC Canada is a global boutique consultancy with a strong presence in North America. With 28+ years of experience, the company manages large multi-sector projects. The Assistant Construction Project Manager supports high-visibility projects with a focus on robust project controls.
Location & Work Arrangement
Based in the Toronto office (Junction neighborhood at 213 Sterling Road), the role requires presence at the office or project site 4-5 days per week, with flexible work-from-home options as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in project onboarding and setup including documentation and checklists.
- Support project scheduling by updating timelines and tracking progress.
- Manage and organize documentation such as RFIs, submittals, and meeting minutes.
- Serve as a liaison between field teams and office, facilitating communication.
- Provide procurement support including tendering and tracking purchase orders.
- Log and monitor change requests and assist in impact assessments.
- Help in preparing status reports, dashboards, and progress updates.
- Coordinate meetings and document follow-up actions.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and internal project controls standards.
- Support field documentation, logistics coordination, and commissioning preparation.
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction.
- PMP Certification.
- 3+ years experience in project management phases.
- Proactive, analytical, and problem-solving mindset.
