Sr. Oracle Systems Engineer III

As Sr. Oracle Systems Engineer III at MetroStar, you’ll lead the technical operations and engineering efforts for complex systems utilizing Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). In this role, you will provide technical leadership, oversee daily IT operations, and manage a large team of technical professionals.

What You’ll Do

  • Provide technical leadership and strategic direction for Oracle EBS and OCI environments.
  • Oversee daily IT operations ensuring high availability and performance of enterprise systems.
  • Manage a technical team including system, database, and network engineers.
  • Resolve high-priority incidents and implement long-term system solutions.
  • Plan and execute system upgrades, migrations, and optimization projects.
  • Monitor system performance metrics and proactively address issues.
  • Mentor technical staff and foster a culture of collaboration and innovation.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to align technical initiatives with organizational goals.
  • Prepare and deliver technical reports to executive leadership.

What You’ll Need to Succeed

  • Active DoD Secret security clearance.
  • Master’s Degree in Systems or Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of deep technical expertise with Oracle EBS, OCI, and related technologies.
  • 10+ years of experience in network operations or IT operations within the Federal Government.
  • Relevant certifications including Oracle EBS, ITIL4 Practice Manager, and CISSP or CISM.
  • Experience in cloud security, automation, and infrastructure-as-code practices.
  • Strong knowledge of IT operations, monitoring tools, and NOC processes.
  • Experience managing multiple DevSecOps teams and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and leadership skills.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary Range: $139,000 - $221,000. Additional compensation may include performance-based bonuses, training support, and referral bonuses.
