About the Role

Join Metronome as a Software Engineer Pillar Teams to scale our next generation billing platform. You will explore billing models, unlock insights from usage data, and deliver delightful experiences through robust APIs and intuitive UIs. Work fluidly between platform and customer-facing features in a high-growth environment.

Impact You’ll Have

Re-architect core systems to 10x Metronome’s capabilities while pushing the boundaries of billing. Help shape the product and the future of billing by meeting hard technical constraints around speed, accuracy, and scale.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years hands-on engineering experience with high throughput systems.
  • Strong craftsmanship, debugging, and refactoring skills.
  • Customer empathy and ability to translate needs into solutions.

Tech Stack

  • Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Serverless Framework)
  • Languages: Mainly Typescript, occasionally Python/Rust
  • Frontend: React, Apollo GraphQL, Webpack, React Testing Library
  • CI/CD: AWS CodePipeline & CodeDeploy, CircleCI

Compensation & Benefits

Estimated base salary range is $156,000 - $214,000 with a competitive total rewards package including market-benched equity, sales incentive pay (if eligible), and comprehensive health benefits.
