Air Refueling Operator

Position Summary

The Air Refueling Operator role at Metrea involves serving as an aircrew member aboard the MSM tanker aircraft ensuring safe and efficient in-flight fuel transfers.

Essential Functions

• Conduct pre-flight, through-flight, and post-flight inspections and complete required documentation.
• Compute and load weight and balance data.
• Load and unload personnel and cargo.
• Transfer fuel safely from Metrea MSM tanker aircraft (MPRS, BDA, Boom) to receiver aircraft during flight.
• Perform operational checks on air refueling equipment including onboard camera systems.
• Maintain situational awareness and apply Crew Resource Management throughout all flight phases.
• Adhere to Flight Operation Procedures, Ground Operation Procedures, and Safety Notices.
• Maintain all necessary currencies, qualifications, and updated systems knowledge on the KC-135 tanker fleet.

Set a high standard for world-class air refueling service. The role requires a willingness to travel and the ability to accomplish duties with minimal assistance.

Required Education, Experience and Certificates

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 10 years as a KC-135 Boom Operator with 2000 total hours and 200 IB-EB hours.
• Basic Microsoft Office Suite skills.
• Certificates: COVID-19 Vaccination, Current FAA Class 2 Medical, Current US Passport.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience as a current and qualified KC-135R IB/EB in the last 39 months is preferred. Strong command of English is required, both oral and written.
