Registered Nurse - Progressive Care

MetaSense Inc is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for our Progressive Care unit. This is a 13-week contract position for night shifts (7p-7:30a), including weekends, holidays, and call rotations.

Responsibilities:

• Provide quality patient care based on nursing principles.
• Assess patient needs, including clinical, teaching, mental, and spiritual aspects.
• Recognize and address safety issues for self and others.
• Safely assess and implement patient lifting and moving techniques.
• Function effectively in stressful situations and utilize problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrate strong leadership, prioritization, and delegation abilities.
• Potentially assume charge nurse duties.
• Utilize excellent interpersonal, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.

Qualifications:

• Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current NYS RN license.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• PALS certification preferred.
• Basic lethal dysrhythmia and NIHSS certification required within the first 6 months.
• Current Critical Care Experience preferred.
• Must have completed at least one successful traveler assignment; new travelers are not considered.
• Previous Samaritan employees must have been gone for at least 2 years and be eligible for rehire.
