About the Role
The UX Researcher Qualitative at Meta is responsible for understanding the behaviors and needs of people. The role involves designing and executing research methods to gather deep insights from surveys, focus groups, field studies, usability tests, and one-on-one interviews.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with product and business teams to identify research topics.
- Act as a thought leader and advocate for user needs.
- Design and execute custom primary research using diverse methods.
- Create studies addressing user behavior and attitudes.
- Manage and prioritize research plans in dynamic environments.
- Communicate results and present compelling insights.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with design, product, engineering, and marketing teams.
- Generate insights that fuel ideation and evaluate designs.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years of relevant experience in user experience, applied research or product development; or Master’s degree with 8+ years; or PhD with 5+ years relevant experience. Experience with in-depth interviews, focus groups, usability testing and translating findings into strategic narratives.
Preferred Qualifications
Degrees in Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Sociology, Communication, Information Science, Media Studies, Computer Science, or Economics; experience with consumer products and insights.

Compensation
The position offers a base salary range from $163,000 to $226,000 per year plus bonus, equity, and benefits. Individual compensation is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
