About the Role

The UX Researcher, Qualitative at Meta explores human behavior to design products that impact billions globally. This role requires deep insights through qualitative and quantitative methods, including surveys, focus groups, field studies, usability tests, and 1:1 interviews.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with product and business teams to identify research topics.
  • Lead research initiatives and advocate for user needs.
  • Design and execute custom primary research using diverse methodologies.
  • Conduct studies addressing user behaviors and attitudes.
  • Manage and prioritize research plans in rapidly changing environments.
  • Communicate research findings with compelling narratives.
  • Work cross-functionally with design, product management, engineering, and marketing.
  • Generate insights to fuel ideation and product evaluation.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years relevant experience, or Master’s degree with 8+ years, or PhD with 5+ years. Experience in in-depth interviews, focus groups, concept testing, and usability testing; ability to translate research findings into strategic directions.

Preferred Qualifications

Degrees in related fields such as Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Sociology, Communication, Information Science, Media Studies, Computer Science, or Economics. Experience with consumer products, consumer insights, and product development is also preferred.

Compensation & Benefits

Compensation ranges from $163,000 to $226,000 per year plus bonus, equity, and benefits. Individual compensation is based on skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
