About the Role
At Meta, our teams are dedicated to creating the next computing platform centered around people. The Internationalization (i18n) team plays a crucial role in breaking down language barriers. The Traditional Chinese Language Manager will be responsible for the localization quality of zh_TW for Meta products and content, ensuring a great linguistic experience for our Traditional Chinese audience.
Key Responsibilities
- Review, edit, and translate high visibility UI and long-form content.
- Perform localization screenshot testing in Traditional Chinese for Taiwan.
- Collaborate with product teams for linguistic testing on web and mobile.
- Support product launches and drive quality initiatives end to end.
- Manage vendor selection, probation, and performance, while maintaining glossaries and style guides.
Additional Responsibilities
Travel domestically or internationally as needed and work closely with cross-functional teams and in-country stakeholders.
Minimum Qualifications
- Native fluency in Traditional Chinese (for Taiwan) and business proficiency in English.
- 5+ years of experience in English-to-Traditional Chinese translation and localization of product UI.
- Familiarity with trends in Taiwan.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with engineers, product teams, and regional stakeholders.
- Experience in AI, AR, VR, smart home devices, and hardware localization.
- Experience in gaming content and digital marketing localization.
- Familiarity with CAT tools.
