Overview
The Technical Program Manager at Meta is responsible for driving technical strategy and execution across global platforms and services used by Facebook, WhatsApp, Instagram, Messenger, and Reality Labs. This role bridges technical execution and business strategy, working closely with Engineering and Product teams.
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage end-to-end technical product solutions ensuring on-time delivery.
- Own cross-functional product and program execution in a matrix organization.
- Drive and influence technical and product strategy, identifying risks and mitigation strategies.
- Define roadmaps and long-term strategies and set clear directions for teams.
- Design metrics to track impact and improve internal processes.
- Collaboratively define a shared vision with technical program managers, product managers and engineers.
- Communicate project status, issues, and risks to stakeholders.
- Help drive product decisions that align with company initiatives.
Minimum Qualifications
- B.S. in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years in software, systems, hardware engineering or technical PM roles.
- Experience delivering complex tech programs from inception to delivery.
- Strong technical background with system architecture knowledge.
- Excellent communication skills at the executive level.
- Ability to work autonomously across multiple teams and time zones.

Compensation and Benefits
Salary ranges from $168,000 to $234,000 per year plus bonus, equity, and additional benefits. Individual compensation is determined based on skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
