About the Role
The System Architecture Engineer will independently lead system development and implementation for Meta’s $8B+ global Design, Construction, and Engineering organization. This role involves close collaboration with business leaders to understand needs, develop strategy, and deliver tooling and data solutions. The position supports a 5-7 year product lifecycle across various systems, from design solution through implementation, leveraging business drivers, systems expertise, and program management to enhance efficiency and deliver robust business solutions.
System Architecture Engineer Responsibilities
- Independently maintain and develop business solutions using internal and commercial applications such as Unifier, P6, OIC, OPC, Gateway, and Fusion.
- Partner with business leaders and stakeholders to strategize and implement business solutions.
- Map business processes to user specifications, use cases, user stories, and application walkthroughs, providing technical input and feasibility guidance.
- Develop solutions architecture, functional descriptions, and system solutions based on business requirements and process maps, including UI workflow and system architecture.
- Contribute significantly to updates, modifications, testing, and delivery of functional solutions within new or existing systems, including integrations across applications and between functional and data modules.
- Contribute to functional roadmaps and goals by evaluating new and existing systems.
- Provide functional expertise to architect systems and processes, enabling robust backend data architecture, data integrity, and data analytics.
- Create low-code automated procedures to scale and operationalize business processes.
- Follow evolving functional stakeholder engagement models and processes.
- Provide reporting and communication to stakeholders on system solutions and implementation.
- Administer, configure, and maintain Oracle (Unifier, P6, OPC) environments, including user roles, permissions, and system settings.
- Oversee system upgrades, patching, and performance monitoring in partnership with relevant teams to ensure optimal operation and security.
- Manage integrations with other enterprise systems, ensuring data integrity and seamless workflow.
- Develop and maintain documentation for system configurations, processes, and troubleshooting procedures.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define product vision, roadmap, and feature prioritization for Oracle applications and related PMIS tools.
- Gather and analyze user feedback to inform product enhancements and future releases.
- Lead cross-functional teams in planning, development, and rollout of new product features and system improvements.
- Track and report on product KPIs, adoption metrics, and user satisfaction.
- Advocate for best practices in product lifecycle management, including release planning and change management.
- Oversee user onboarding, training, and support for Oracle Unifier and associated applications.
- Design and implement user access controls, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and data privacy requirements.
- Develop and deliver training materials, workshops, and documentation.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for user issues, escalations, and enhancement requests.
- Monitor user activity and system usage to identify process improvement opportunities.
Minimum Qualifications
- BA/BS degree or equivalent in information systems, engineering, construction management, or relevant work experience.
- 7+ years of overall technical experience collaborating with Technical Program Managers, System Integrators/System Analysts, or similar roles on large-scale system and software development programs.
- 3+ years in architecting and implementing design/construction systems using Oracle Unifier and related integration tools/APIs (e.g., Oracle Integration Cloud).
- Experience leading full-cycle, end-to-end Oracle Unifier implementation projects, both functionally and technically.
- Proficiency with Oracle Unifier, including planning configurations, workflow modeling, UI design, UDR development, and BI publisher design.
- Experience in Oracle SQL and Oracle RDBMS stored procedures.
- Demonstrated experience with various communication strategies, presentations, and analytical skills.
- Familiarity with various project and program management methodologies.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional partners across a global organization.
- Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a rapidly changing environment.
- Experience in system administration of Oracle (Unifier, P6, OPC) or similar enterprise applications.
- Proven ability to manage product roadmaps, feature prioritization, and stakeholder engagement for enterprise software solutions.
- Track record in user management, including onboarding, training, and support for large user bases.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Business, Computer Science, or a similar field.
- Experience with design/construction systems using business applications like Primavera P6, Procore, Autodesk ACC, Google AppSheets, etc.
- Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI, BI Publisher) within a global organization.
- Experience in Data Center Construction, Network Topology, or Infrastructure industries.
- Proficiency in Project Management (PMP) or Six Sigma Certification.
- Experience collaborating with Business Intelligence or Data Engineering professionals.
- Experience with integration engineering.
- Experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager for enterprise software platforms.
- Experience designing and implementing user access controls and security policies in a regulated environment.
- Advanced knowledge of change management, release management, and user adoption strategies.
- Experience developing training programs and user documentation for technical and non-technical audiences.
