About the Role
Meta is seeking talented engineers to join our team as a Software Engineer, Infrastructure. In this role, you will work on complex technical problems, build innovative features, and improve products across mobile and web platforms.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, design, operations, infrastructure) to build innovative application experiences.
- Implement custom user interfaces using modern programming techniques.
- Develop reusable software components and interfaces with back-end platforms.
- Analyze and optimize code for quality, efficiency, and performance.
- Lead technical efforts and provide guidance to peers.
- Architect efficient and scalable systems for complex applications.
- Identify and resolve performance and scalability issues.
- Work with a variety of programming languages and technologies.
- Establish ownership of components with expert end-to-end understanding.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field (completed prior to joining).
- 2+ years programming experience in a relevant language or PhD with 9+ months experience.
- Track record of setting technical direction and driving consensus.
- Experience building maintainable code bases including API design and unit testing.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience owning components, features, or systems.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, Java.
- Exposure to large scale software architectural patterns and infrastructure applications.
- Experience with scripting languages like Python, JavaScript or Hack.
