About the Role
At Meta’s Reality Labs Research, the Software Engineer - Data Collection will support on-site data collection activities and build tooling to process and manage large-scale data for audio AR and VR technologies. You will work with industry-leading researchers and engineers to enable breakthrough ML and computational systems.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel data collection tools and platforms.
- Conduct detailed data analysis for quality enhancement.
- Create comprehensive documentation for tool adoption.
- Share best practices and build a collaborative team community.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and manage architectural trade offs.
Minimum Qualifications
- BSc in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years professional programming experience with performance sensitive systems.
- Experience with large data collection systems for ML.
- Proficient in designing software with Python.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience shipping products on large code bases.
- Knowledge in processing sensor data, including audio and video.
- Familiarity with Linux, networking, and shell scripting.
- Interdisciplinary team experience and AR/VR exposure.
