GO Systems, a critical part of Product and Regulatory Operations (PRO) at Meta, is seeking a talented and experienced Software Developer Manager, Global Operations to lead a high-performing team. This technically-minded group focuses on developing and executing a strategy for unified, interoperable infrastructure across Global Operations (GO).

As a Software Developer Manager, Global Operations, you will play a pivotal role in enabling production workflow maturity within GO’s tooling dimension. This involves identifying appropriate tooling strategies to solve complex business problems and closely partnering with key engineering teams to bring those strategies to fruition. You will be instrumental in building, scaling, and maturing our tech stack by implementing new features, driving last-mile code changes, and eliminating engineering bottlenecks across various products.

Responsibilities of a Software Developer Manager, Global Operations:

• Lead and manage a high-quality team of software developers across North America, demonstrating both strong technical acumen and effective people management skills.
• Extend and enhance Meta's platforms and internal systems by building robust workflows and high-quality tools essential for scaling Global Operations.
• Set clear expectations and goals for your team, meticulously measuring their impact and contributions.
• Provide expert technical leadership and guidance to both your direct reports and cross-functional project peers.
• Leverage your software engineering expertise to achieve significant business impact by approaching problems with an operational mindset.
• Develop compelling business cases to support the implementation of new and improved processes for consumers, businesses, and partners utilizing Meta's products.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact results.
• Actively own and drive the professional development and growth of your team members.
• Facilitate clear communication and cross-functional collaboration to align priorities with stakeholders across the family of Meta Apps, influencing organizational roadmaps.
• Gather, analyze, and utilize relevant data to continually improve the overall support experience.
• Champion and drive Meta's AI transformation initiatives across Global Operations.
• Contribute to coding efforts primarily using PHP/Hack/Python and JavaScript/React.

Minimum Qualifications:

• BA / BSc degree in Engineering, Computer Science or a related technical field, or an international equivalent.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in Software Development.
• 2+ years of experience in a leadership role, such as a tech lead or an engineering manager.
• Proven technical background combined with successful management experience leading high-caliber engineering teams.
• Extensive experience with creating, debugging, and maintaining codebases.
• Demonstrated analytical-thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
• Experience collaborating effectively within global, multicultural, and multilingual teams, including designing business operations from inception.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Hands-on software engineering experience with modern web technologies like React, GraphQL, Relay, or similar frameworks.
• Experience with AI technologies and their application in operational contexts.
• Familiarity and practical experience with scrum and agile methodologies in delivering product roadmaps.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate and collaborate cross-functionally, aligning priorities with diverse stakeholders and influencing broader organizational strategies.
• Experience in internal tool development, particularly incorporating Workforce Management (WFM) knowledge and bug management systems.
• Experience with customer support/operations software-oriented projects.
• Profound knowledge in driving scalable solutions for global operational teams.
• Experience with process change management or process improvement initiatives.
• Previous experience working in a technology company, consulting firm, or a similarly productive and fast-paced environment.
