About the Role

The Product Security Engineer Technical Lead at Meta is responsible for identifying potential vulnerabilities and crafting solutions to eliminate them. You will support Meta's ecosystem, including Instagram, WhatsApp, Oculus, Portal, and more, by performing deep security reviews and guiding developer teams with best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Security Reviews: Perform manual design and implementation reviews across Meta products.
  • Developer Guidance: Educate and guide developers to prevent code vulnerabilities.
  • Automated Analysis: Build automation and secure frameworks in collaboration with engineers.

Minimum Qualifications

  • BS or MS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years of experience finding vulnerabilities in interpreted languages.
  • Strong knowledge of secure code development best practices and exploit mitigations.
  • Coding and scripting experience in one or more general purpose languages.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with PHP, Ruby, or Python in secure development.
  • Contributions to the security community via research, blogging, or bug bounty programs.
  • Experience creating software that enables security processes.
