Original Job Summary
Overview
Meta's Product Security team is seeking an experienced hacker to reveal weaknesses and craft creative solutions. Your skills will form the foundation of security initiatives that protect the privacy of over two billion people.
Responsibilities
- Security Reviews: Perform manual design and implementation reviews across Meta products including Instagram, WhatsApp, Oculus, and Portal.
- Developer Guidance: Advise and educate developers to prevent vulnerabilities in code.
- Automated Analysis & Secure Frameworks: Build static and dynamic analysis tools and frameworks to scale security efforts.
Minimum Qualifications
- BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- 8+ years experience finding vulnerabilities in interpreted languages
- Knowledge of best practice secure code development
- Experience exploiting common security vulnerabilities and applying exploit mitigations
- Coding and scripting proficiency in one or more general purpose languages
Preferred Qualifications
- Extensive experience with interpreted languages (PHP, Ruby, Python)
- Contributions to the security community (research, blogging, presentations, bug bounty)
- Experience building software supporting security processes
