About the Role
The Product Security Engineer Native at Meta is responsible for revealing potential system weaknesses and crafting creative solutions to eliminate them. As part of Meta's Product Security team, you will help protect the security and privacy of over two billion users by supporting engineering and product teams across various platforms including web, mobile, and native-code environments.
Responsibilities
- Security Reviews: Manually review designs and implementations across Meta's products, such as Instagram, WhatsApp, Oculus, and Portal.
- Developer Guidance: Provide valuable guidance and education to developers on secure coding practices.
- Automated Analysis & Secure Frameworks: Build automation tools and frameworks for static and dynamic analysis with software engineers.
Minimum Qualifications
- BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- 2+ years experience finding vulnerabilities in interpreted languages.
- Understanding of secure code development, common vulnerabilities, and exploit mitigations.
- Coding and scripting proficiency in one or more general purpose languages.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in creating software for security processes.
- 2+ years experience in detecting vulnerabilities in C/C++.
- Contributions to the security community through research, blogging, presentations, or bug bounties.
