About the Role
Meta is seeking a Product Security Engineer Intern focused on AI-first security practices. In this role, you will work on detection, prevention, and mitigation of security risks for Meta's products using machine learning, automation, and intelligent systems.
Responsibilities
As a Product Security Engineer Intern, you will:
- Perform AI-enhanced security reviews for Meta products.
- Develop AI-driven tools for static and dynamic security analysis.
- Conduct AI-assisted research and mitigation of vulnerabilities.
- Contribute to fine-tuning AI agents for threat detection.
Focus Areas
The internship covers:
- Web Security for securing applications and APIs.
- Mobile Security for Android and iOS platforms.
Minimum Qualifications
Candidates must be currently enrolled in a full-time degree program in computer science or a related field, with experience in:
- Exploiting common web security vulnerabilities.
- Finding vulnerabilities in code (PHP, Ruby, Python, Java, Kotlin, Swift, Objective-C).
- Secure code development and project management.
- Effective communication across diverse teams.
Preferred Qualifications
Bonus points for candidates with experience in:
- Software development integrating AI/ML capabilities.
- Hands-on experience with TensorFlow, PyTorch, etc.
- Automated penetration testing and AI-powered security tools.
- Contributions to security community initiatives.

Compensation & Benefits
Compensation ranges from $7,313/month to $11,293/month, plus benefits. Individual compensation is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
