About the Role
Meta's Privacy Red Team is seeking experienced, passionate ethical hackers who thrive on discovering privacy weaknesses to better protect the privacy of over a billion people. As a Privacy Engineer - Privacy Red Team, you will execute offensive privacy testing, partner with engineering and product teams, and drive remediation of identified weaknesses.
Responsibilities
- Execute technical, hands-on offensive privacy testing to identify weaknesses.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive remediation efforts.
- Communicate findings to a technically diverse audience.
- Continuously improve team processes and advocate best practices.
- Plan and lead campaign-style red team operations.
Minimum Qualifications
- 2+ years in red teaming, penetration testing, or related fields.
- 2+ years of hands-on offensive testing skills.
- 2+ years scripting experience (PHP, Python, Perl, Ruby, etc.).
- Effective communication with technical and product teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with offensive testing on web, iOS, or Android platforms.
- Knowledge of big data and relational databases (Hive, Presto, MySQL, etc.).
- Contributions to the privacy or security community (bug bounty, public research, blogging, etc.).
