Privacy Engineer - Privacy Red Team
Meta's Privacy Red Team is seeking experienced, passionate ethical hackers who thrive on discovering privacy weaknesses, to better protect the privacy of over a billion people. This role involves executing offensive privacy testing across Meta's products and services, partnering with cross-functional teams to remediate identified weaknesses, and advocating best practices in protecting user data.
Responsibilities
- Execute technical, hands-on offensive privacy testing to identify and exploit privacy weaknesses.
- Collaborate with engineering and product teams to drive remediation efforts.
- Communicate findings broadly to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Identify improvements in team processes and best practices.
- Plan and lead red team operations testing response capabilities.
Minimum Qualifications
- 2+ years in red teaming, penetration testing, vulnerability research, product security or security/privacy research.
- 2+ years of hands-on offensive testing skills.
- 2+ years of scripting experience (PHP, Python, Perl, Ruby, etc.).
- Strong communication skills with researchers, engineering, and product teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in offensive testing of web, iOS, or Android platforms.
- Familiarity with big data and relational databases (Hive, Presto, MySQL, etc.).
- Contributions to the privacy or security community through bug bounty programs, public research, blogging, or presentations.

Compensation and Benefits
Base salary ranges from $117,000 to $173,000 per year, plus bonus, equity, and benefits. Compensation is determined based on skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
