About Privacy Engineer - Privacy Red Team at Meta
Meta's Privacy Red Team is seeking experienced, passionate ethical hackers who thrive on discovering privacy weaknesses to better protect user privacy of over a billion people. Your adversarial mindset and offensive privacy skills will be put to work carrying out offensive privacy testing on operations across our products and services.
Responsibilities
- Execute technical, hands-on offensive privacy testing to identify and exploit weaknesses.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for remediation efforts.
- Communicate findings to a diverse technical audience.
- Advocate for best practices in protecting user data.
- Plan and lead campaign-style red team operations and testing response strategies.
Minimum Qualifications
- 2+ years experience in red teaming, penetration testing, or security research.
- 2+ years hands-on offensive testing skills.
- 2+ years scripting experience (PHP, Python, Perl, Ruby, etc.).
- Strong communication skills across researchers, engineering, and product teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with offensive testing on web, iOS, or Android.
- Familiarity with big data and relational databases (Hive, Presto, MySQL, etc.).
- Contributions to the privacy or security community through bug bounty programs, research, blogging or presentations.

Compensation & Benefits
Base compensation ranges from $117,000 to $173,000/year plus bonus, equity, and benefits. Individual compensation is based on skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
