Job Description
Overview
Meta is seeking a Performance & Capacity Engineer - Capacity Planning Optimization to lead software systems and process design. The role involves building and optimizing infrastructure capacity planning for Meta’s expansive range of products and services.
Responsibilities
- Own infrastructure capacity planning for all Meta services.
- Collaborate with cross functional engineering, operations, and business teams.
- Design and build scalable software systems for planning and execution.
- Lead large engineering projects and execute complex system designs.
- Partner with Finance and business teams to balance cost and technical needs.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent.
- 10+ years experience in performance, capacity or software engineering.
- Proficiency in Python, C++ or similar languages.
- Experience leading large engineering projects and initiatives.
- Expertise in large-scale technical infrastructure and distributed systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience building systems from scratch with ambiguous requirements.
- Background in technical infrastructure or capacity planning.
- Knowledge of mathematical optimization and solvers.
