Marketing Science Consultant at Meta

AI is a Meta priority, and our Sales and Product teams are actively integrating automation through AI to provide invaluable guidance to advertisers. This complex and evolving domain requires a Marketing Science Consultant to collaborate closely with product developers, integrating existing guidance systems into new tools. Your work will align with our overall guidance unification strategy, ensuring advertiser perspectives and needs are at the forefront of AI development.

As part of the Marketing Science team, you will focus on empowering global small businesses, helping them leverage Meta's platforms for growth through data and science. The team comprises highly quantitative measurement professionals from diverse backgrounds. This position demands a strong analytical mindset, expertise in digital advertising effectiveness, research methods, and a deep understanding of operational processes.

You will be instrumental in building strategies and executing proactive initiatives globally, partnering with various channels. Responsibilities include identifying opportunities to develop and refine different treatments and supporting the go-to-market strategy for initiatives aimed at driving advertiser value. This role involves executing key advertising and measurement research projects to deliver strategies and insights that foster small business growth.

Marketing Science Consultant Responsibilities:

  • Design proactive programs and treatments, including research, analytics initiatives, or go-to-market strategies, to help small businesses onboard and grow with advertising.
  • Drive advertiser adoption of marketing best practices and products for successful advertising onboarding.
  • Identify research and analytics initiatives that clearly demonstrate how Marketing Science can support small business segment growth.
  • Collaborate closely with sales, product, and other cross-functional teams to directly impact small business marketing strategy.
  • Communicate results and present suggestions creatively to stakeholders and partners.
  • Build scalable processes for ad-effectiveness research initiatives.
  • Advocate for small businesses with other research and product teams to ensure solutions are designed for businesses of all sizes.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a directly related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in a quantitative field, such as consulting, market research, or media research.
  • Proficiency in working with large datasets and using SQL or similar tools for data extraction and manipulation.
  • Demonstrated experience communicating complex concepts effectively to non-technical audiences.
  • Direct experience in scoping and executing research projects with clients and/or cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Experience in applied research with focus areas like media consumption, consumer behavior, or marketing effectiveness.
  • Familiarity with digital advertising measurement methods and technologies.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with structured and unstructured datasets, statistical software such as R, SPSS, SAS, and data extraction tools like Hive and/or SQL.
  • Understanding of the dynamics and structure of sales teams.
  • Knowledge of the current media landscape and the challenges faced by small business advertisers.
