Original Job Summary

Job Overview

Meta Reality Labs is seeking an experienced and dedicated manager to lead the globally dispersed Mass Production Materials Program Management team. The role involves designing material strategy, managing material budgets, ensuring material readiness and mitigating E&O risks throughout the product lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Lead MP MPM team across US and APAC to ensure material availability.
  • Design and implement material drive strategy to support demand changes.
  • Play a strategic role in S&OP processes with critical budget and simulation analyses.
  • Drive cross-functional alignment on demand vs supply decisions.
  • Manage day-to-day execution with external partners including Contract Manufacturers.
  • Review and optimize tools and processes to continuously elevate team performance.
  • Occasional travel to China.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Over 10 years of material management experience in a fast-paced hardware industry.
  • 8+ years of people management with strong influencing and coaching skills.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills across multiple manufacturing sites.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills translating data to actionable insights.
  • Experience managing high volume consumer electronic product launches.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field or equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Fluency in Mandarin considered advantageous.
  • Strong cross-functional partnering experience.
  • Track record of developing and promoting talent.
