About the Role

The Head of Public Policy Philippines at Meta will lead policy engagement and strategy in a rapidly evolving tech policy landscape. This role oversees regulatory initiatives and stakeholder engagement to align Meta’s objectives with the local policy environment.

Responsibilities

  • Leadership and Strategy: Lead policy engagement, define public policy strategies and advise management on developments in the Philippines.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with government, policymakers, regulators, and industry associations involved in digital and AI policy.
  • Policy Development and Advocacy: Shape legislative and regulatory discussions around content moderation, AI, and digital infrastructure while communicating Meta’s societal impacts.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with legal, communications, product, operations, and research teams for cohesive policy advocacy with global teams.
  • Market Monitoring: Monitor regulatory trends and develop proactive solutions aligned with Meta’s strategy.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 12+ years in public policy, regulatory affairs, law, or related fields.
  • Robust understanding of the Philippine policy landscape with established stakeholder connections.
  • Proven experience in policy strategy development and implementation.
  • Strong leadership and cross-functional team management skills.
  • Effective communication in Tagalog and English.

Preferred Qualifications

  • High ethical standards and professionalism.
  • Experience in global digital technology policy.
  • Knowledge of additional Philippine languages like Filipino or Cebuano.
  • Established network with government and non-government stakeholders.
