Overview

The Head of Language Management at Meta leads a geographically distributed team to optimize language processes and drive innovative localization strategies. The role is critical for ensuring that Meta's products are linguistically tailored for a global audience.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of language managers.
  • Oversee end-to-end language management from content localizability to final delivery.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance linguistic quality.
  • Partner with external language service providers for optimal frameworks.
  • Work with engineering teams to implement innovative language technologies.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Translation, Linguistics, Communications or related field.
  • 12+ years in language management or localization.
  • 5+ years of people management experience.
  • Proven leadership of teams in complex, large-scale projects.
  • Experience with language service providers and localization platforms.
  • Fluency in English plus at least one other language.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience running large-scale localization programs.
  • Experience managing teams of 30+ personnel.
  • Experience with AI implementations in localization.

Compensation

Base salary range: $177,000/year to $244,000/year plus bonus, equity, and benefits. Actual compensation is determined by skills, experience, and location.
