About the Role

The Head of Language Management Internationalization at Meta is responsible for leading a geographically distributed language management team. This role is integral to ensuring that Meta's products are accurately localized to support up to 100 languages and meet the quality standards for a global audience.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing language management team.
  • Oversee the end-to-end language management process from localizability to delivery.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for optimal linguistic quality.
  • Partner with external language service providers to ensure quality and timeliness.
  • Work with engineering teams to implement innovative language technologies.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Translation, Linguistics, Communications, or related field.
  • 12+ years experience in language management or localization.
  • 5+ years of people management experience.
  • Proven track record in managing linguists and complex projects.
  • Experience with localization platforms and CAT tools.
  • Fluency in English and at least one other language.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience managing large-scale localization programs.
  • Experience managing a team of 30+ professionals.
  • Implementation experience with AI technologies in localization.
