Head of Language Management Internationalization

About the Role

The Head of Language Management Internationalization at Meta leads a geographically distributed team dedicated to ensuring that localized products feel local to a global audience. The role involves managing the end-to-end process of language management including translation, localization, linguistic quality assurance, and the development of innovative language strategies.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and develop a global team of language managers.
• Manage end-to-end language management processes ensuring accuracy and consistency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build optimal workflows.
• Partner with external language service providers to meet quality standards.
• Work with engineering teams to implement language technologies and enhance localization platforms.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Translation, Linguistics or related field or equivalent experience.
• Over 12 years of experience in language management or localization.
• 5+ years of people management experience.
• Proven track record leading teams of linguists and localization professionals.
• Strong experience with language service providers and CAT tools.
• Proficiency in English plus at least one other language.
• Experience managing large-scale, complex projects across multiple time zones.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience running large-scale localization programs across multiple languages.
• Track record of managing teams of 30+ people.
• Familiarity with implementing AI technologies in localization.
