About the Role
The Environmental Compliance Program Manager - East Coast is responsible for leading environmental compliance efforts for Meta's North American data centers, from construction through operations. This role involves ensuring compliance with air permitting, biological surveys, stormwater management, fuel management, emergency planning, and spill prevention controls.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage environmental compliance across North America data centers.
- Interpret technical environmental requirements and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Assess compliance findings, manage risk, and direct corrective actions.
- Prepare and submit technical reviews and notifications to government agencies.
- Develop compliance training and support tools for operations teams.
- Conduct site visits and compliance assessments, providing clear solutions.
- Travel domestically and internationally as needed (approximately 20%).
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, engineering or a related field with 7+ years of experience; proven program management and communication skills; experience in data management and cross-functional coordination.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree in a relevant field.
- Experience in construction environmental compliance and in-house compliance roles.
- Familiarity with reviewing site plans and contract specifications.
- Experience with global organizations and brownfield sites.
