About the Role

The Data Engineering Manager, Analytics at Meta leads a team to build data architecture that drives insight and informs product launches and roadmaps. Working with Product Managers, Data Scientists and Software Engineers, you will ensure high quality Business Intelligence (BI) and Data Warehousing solutions that have a direct impact on company growth and user satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the mission and strategy for BI and Data Warehousing.
  • Build and lead a scalable BI and Data Warehousing team.
  • Develop cross-functional relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Manage and drive efficient data warehouse operations and quality.
  • Design, build, and launch data models and production pipelines.
  • Deliver high-impact dashboards and data visualizations.
  • Define and manage SLAs for data sets and processes.
  • Emphasize efficiency, speed, project management and vision in BI improvements.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 4+ years of work experience in applied analytics; 2+ years managing analytics teams.
  • 8+ years in BI and Data Warehousing.
  • Bachelor's in Computer Science, Math, Physics or similar field.
  • Experience in BI, data warehousing, and analytical projects.
  • Strong communication skills to articulate analysis to executive leadership.
  • Experience with data querying languages (e.g. SQL) and object-oriented programming (Python, Java).
  • People management expertise and scaling teams.
  • Cross-functional teamwork with Data Engineering, Data Science, Software Engineering and Product Management.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Big Data, Hadoop and Data visualization tools.
  • Advanced degree (e.g., MSc, PhD).
  • Experience with user facing products.
