You will write scalable, production-grade code across Meta's platforms, collaborating with other product engineering teams. Business Engineer Responsibilities:

• Build new products and improve existing ones in collaboration with Meta product engineering teams and cross-functional partners to meet business needs.
• Develop and maintain scaled capabilities to drive product adoption and spend growth across partners, aligning with business needs.
• Apply knowledge of products, technologies, and business to build scalable solutions.
• Design, build, and integrate end-to-end systems and develop launch-plan strategies.
• Utilize a broad range of technical and soft skills to build productive relationships with partners and independently resolve complex technical and business needs.
• Leverage expertise and product insight to deliver high-quality project, integration, and partner engagements, while influencing product roadmaps to meet business objectives.
• Guide workflow changes, gain stakeholder consensus, and drive towards effective solutions.
• Maintain effective communication with industry partners and internal stakeholders.
• Build and manage working relationships with technical counterparts.
• Mentor and share knowledge with peers, fostering a positive team atmosphere.
• Engage in coding, conduct code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and promptly action feedback from reviews of your code.
• Influence decision-making by presenting data-centric business topics.
• Serve as a subject matter expert within Business Engineering, providing consultation on domain-level projects.
• Participate in interviewing and onboarding new team members.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 5+ years as a software engineer building and shipping production quality code.
• Experience with open source languages such as PHP, Python, Android, Swift, Java, or JavaScript Frameworks.
• Experience with shipping reliable, scalable, and efficient code, emphasizing long-term maintainability, in partnership with all appropriate reviewers, in manageable pieces with relevant documentation and test plans.
• Experience in designing & architecting end-to-end systems.
• Experience communicating technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience. Degree must be completed prior to joining Meta.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in breaking down business needs into product & technical features based on required technical investment.
• Experience as a technical consultant to determine the right technical investment based on business needs.
• Experience working in highly collaborative environments.
• Client/partner-facing and/or experience communicating to an audience.
• Experience working on multi-person code bases including open source or personal projects.
