Job Summary

The Account Executive, New England is a sales professional responsible for leveraging product knowledge to sell into new accounts and expand existing ones. This role involves managing customer inquiries, resolving issues, and meeting or exceeding sales growth targets set by sales management.

Key Duties

  • Sales Growth Achievement: Organize and manage the territory (MA, RI, ME, NH, CT) to maximize revenue. Identify and close new business opportunities and maintain existing accounts. Utilize sales skills to develop territory growth plans and account strategies. Use CRM system for forecasting and tracking opportunities. Collaborate with internal departments and distribution partners while providing product demonstrations and educational support to medical staff.
  • Sales Administration: Update the CRM daily with account activities, maintain sales samples, product manuals and equipment. Submit accurate reports and manage territory itineraries. Resolve customer issues and escalate when necessary.
  • Other Responsibilities: Solve complex issues, work outside normal hours, travel extensively (up to 80% travel by air/car), and handle physical tasks such as loading/unloading materials and setting up exhibit booths.

Qualifications & Competencies

Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Healthcare, or Science and at least four years of sales experience in a complex selling environment (laboratory diagnostics preferred) are required. Key competencies include consultative selling, relationship building, excellent communication and presentation skills, CRM proficiency, product knowledge, and strong planning and organizational skills.
