Key Responsibilities
We are seeking Telugu language specialists who possess a deep understanding of phonetics, syntax, morphology, semantics, pragmatics, sociolinguistics, and language acquisition in Telugu. In this role, you will:
- Challenge advanced language models on complex topics such as verb conjugation, noun declension, sentence structure, syntax, idiomatic expressions, regional dialects, cultural references, and honorific usage.
- Document every failure mode observed during model interactions to harden model reasoning and improve performance.
- Engage in daily conversations with the model on various language scenarios.
- Verify the factual accuracy and logical soundness of model responses.
- Capture reproducible error traces for systematic analysis.
- Suggest concrete improvements to prompt engineering and evaluation metrics.
Ideal Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate for the Telugu Language Specialist AI Trainer position will bring a robust academic and practical background. While a Master’s or PhD in Telugu language, linguistics, or a closely related field is ideal, we also value peer-reviewed publications, teaching experience, or hands-on linguistic analysis projects as strong indicators of fit. Essential to this role is clear, metacognitive communication, demonstrating your thought process and "showing your work" in all interactions.
Compensation and Contract Details
This is a contract position offering a pay range of $8 to $65 per hour, with the exact rate determined after evaluating your experience, expertise, and geographic location. Final offer amounts may vary. As a contractor, you will be responsible for supplying a secure computer and high-speed internet. Please note that company-sponsored benefits such as health insurance and PTO do not apply to this role.
