Job Description
Coding Specialist - AI Trainer
Are you a coding expert eager to shape the future of AI? Large-scale language models are evolving from clever chatbots into powerful engines of software development, automation, and technical education. With high-quality training data, tomorrow’s AI can democratize world-class programming knowledge, keep pace with evolving technologies, and streamline workflows for developers everywhere. That training data begins with you—we need your expertise to help power the next generation of AI.
What You'll Be Doing
You will challenge advanced language models on topics like object-oriented programming, version control with Git, RESTful API design, debugging strategies, data pipeline construction, and secure coding practices. A key part of your role will be documenting every failure mode to harden model reasoning and improve its capabilities.
On a typical day, you will converse with the model on real-world coding scenarios and theoretical computer science questions, verifying factual accuracy and logical soundness. You will also capture reproducible error traces and suggest improvements to our prompt engineering and evaluation metrics.
Who We're Looking For
We’re seeking coding specialists who live and breathe computer science, software engineering, data structures, algorithms, databases, systems programming, and web development. Ideal candidates will possess a bachelor’s, master’s, or PhD in computer science or a closely related technical field. Professional software development experience, open-source contributions, technical blog posts, or programming competition results are strong indicators of a good fit. Clear, metacognitive communication—“showing your work”—is essential for success in this role.
Compensation & Work Arrangement
This is a freelance, contract position. We offer a pay range of $8 to $65 per hour, with the exact rate determined after evaluating your experience, expertise, and geographic location. Final offer amounts may vary from the pay range listed. As a contractor, you’ll supply a secure computer and high-speed internet; company-sponsored benefits such as health insurance and PTO do not apply. This is a fully remote position.
