Meridial Marketplace, by Invisible, is actively seeking highly skilled 3D modeling specialists to join our team. We are looking for individuals with proven expertise in both hard surface and organic modeling, capable of producing accurate, production-ready digital assets. Your primary responsibility will be to transform 2D reference materials into high-fidelity 3D models, replicating real-world objects, intricate environments, and diverse living forms with exceptional volumetric accuracy.

What You’ll Do

• Translate 2D reference images into precise 3D models, ensuring accuracy in geometry, proportions, and topology.
• Source supplementary references to resolve occlusions, blurry details, or incomplete imagery, guaranteeing comprehensive model creation.
• Produce high-quality models across distinct asset categories, demonstrating versatility and attention to detail:
  • Hard surface: vehicles, props, machinery, and other rigid objects.
  • Organic: humans (including realistic digital doubles), animals, plants, and natural forms with lifelike detail.
  • Environment & architecture: detailed buildings, expansive landscapes, intricate set pieces, and various world assets.
• Iterate on models based on received feedback, ensuring all assets align perfectly with project quality standards and artistic direction.

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in 3D Art, Animation, Game Design, Computer Graphics, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Demonstrated proficiency in industry-standard modeling tools such as Maya, Blender, ZBrush, Houdini, and 3ds Max.
• Familiarity with essential texturing and UV workflows, including software like Substance Painter and Mari.
• A robust portfolio showcasing a diverse range of hard surface, organic, and environmental assets, ideally developed for film, games, AR/VR, or other interactive media.
• Strong understanding of anatomy, form, and material definition, enabling realistic and accurate modeling.
• Ability to clearly communicate your process and problem-solving steps, effectively "showing your work" to the team.
• Comfortable working within iterative pipelines, possessing a collaborative mindset and an openness to constructive feedback.

Compensation & Work Arrangement

We offer a competitive pay rate of $22 per hour for this contract position. As a contractor, you will be responsible for supplying your own secure computer and high-speed internet connection. Please note that company-sponsored benefits such as health insurance and PTO do not apply to this role.
