Role Overview

The Sanctions Investigator will support our Sanctions Program by monitoring, investigating, and mitigating sanctions risks. You will be responsible for watchlist screening, transaction monitoring, and managing alerts for politically exposed persons (PEPs) and adverse media, while ensuring an excellent user experience.

  • Propose false positive rule changes to reduce unnecessary volumes.
  • Stay up to date on sanctions regulations and procedures.
  • Maintain a positive customer experience while managing risk.

Requirements

Experience or relevant academic knowledge of OFAC, EU/UN sanctions, PEP, Adverse Media, and other AML watch lists is expected. A solid understanding of banking products such as ACH, International Wires, SWIFT, checks, and debit cards is ideal. The ideal candidate is a motivated self-starter who manages relationships with external parties confidently. Familiarity with LexisNexis Bridger and Firco Continuity is preferred.
