Role Overview
The Insights Editor is an individual contributor who combines research, analysis, and creative storytelling to craft data-driven content. This role involves conceptualizing and producing compelling narratives that make complex data accessible and engaging.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategize and craft dynamic data-driven research articles and reports.
- Create thought leadership content and educational materials.
- Identify and act on opportunities for innovative data storytelling.
- Develop internal and external data content partnerships.
- Act as a public face for Mercury’s data-driven initiatives.
Qualifications
- At least 7 years of experience in data storytelling.
- Strong research, data analysis, and writing skills.
- Deep knowledge of finance, fintech, banking, or economics.
- Experience with SQL or similar tools for data queries.
- Comfortable with remote working and async collaboration tools.
Nice to Have
- Existing newsletter, podcast, or social media presence on relevant topics.
- Experience with content compliance in a regulated industry.
