Role Overview

The Insights Editor is an individual contributor who combines research, analysis, and creative storytelling to craft data-driven content. This role involves conceptualizing and producing compelling narratives that make complex data accessible and engaging.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategize and craft dynamic data-driven research articles and reports.
  • Create thought leadership content and educational materials.
  • Identify and act on opportunities for innovative data storytelling.
  • Develop internal and external data content partnerships.
  • Act as a public face for Mercury’s data-driven initiatives.

Qualifications

  • At least 7 years of experience in data storytelling.
  • Strong research, data analysis, and writing skills.
  • Deep knowledge of finance, fintech, banking, or economics.
  • Experience with SQL or similar tools for data queries.
  • Comfortable with remote working and async collaboration tools.

Nice to Have

  • Existing newsletter, podcast, or social media presence on relevant topics.
  • Experience with content compliance in a regulated industry.
