Mercury is revolutionizing finance for startups by building a complete, user-friendly banking stack. It turns out, this requires a lot of talented people, so we’re looking to add a Senior Recruiter to our team to hire exceptional Executive talent to help shape Mercury’s next stage of growth.

What You'll Do
- Develop a deep understanding of Mercury’s values, brand, products, and business model.
- Work closely with Mercury’s founders and executive-level hiring managers and interviewers to design interview panels, proactively network within the industry, source strong candidates who meet the needs of the business, and close candidates by positioning Mercury as an innovative fintech leader.
- Shape what success looks like on a newly formed recruiting team, and hold a high culture and hiring bar to ensure we’re able to attract and retain best-in-class Executive talent.
- Position yourself as a true strategic partner to Mercury’s leadership teams by keeping abreast of fintech and banking industry trends and talent market, and building a deep understanding of the U.S. banking and financial regulatory environment.
- Be a strong advocate for building inclusive, diverse teams across all Executive leadership levels, and guide hiring teams towards unbiased hiring decisions.
- Identify and engage top talent through both passive and active channels, and deliver an exceptional candidate experience as an embodiment of Mercury’s culture and values.
- Have the opportunity to lead 0 > 1 recruiting efforts as Mercury expands our business and products, which will require hiring Executives with niche skill sets and/or regulatory knowledge.
- Be comfortable working with data and interpreting the story it tells into actionable insights, business recommendations, performance improvements, and recruiting process enhancements.
What You Should Have
- 7+ years of experience in full-cycle recruiting, with ideally 4+ years focused in leadership and executive hiring.
- Experience hiring technical leaders, with exposure to several technical orgs including Engineering, Product, Design, Data Science, Creative, and/or Marketing.
- Deep experience recruiting for Director to C-Suite Executive talent, ideally in a high-growth, rapidly changing business environment.
- Experience influencing and partnering with founders and/or Executive-level stakeholders and hiring managers, and be a trusted hiring partner and strategic advisor to their teams.
- Strong sourcing, research, and networking skills, with the ability to engage the appropriate talent proactively for longer-term hiring needs and/or when working on confidential searches.
- Experience partnering with Board members, investor talent agencies, external executive search firms, and understand how to broadly leverage relevant industry network ecosystems.
- Experience partnering with the broader People functions, such as HRBP and Compensation, to participate in organizational discussions and understand industry compensation insights.

Total Rewards
The total rewards package at Mercury includes base salary, equity, and benefits. Our salary and equity ranges are highly competitive within the SaaS and fintech industry and are updated regularly using the most reliable compensation survey data for our industry. New hire offers are made based on a candidate’s experience, expertise, geographic location, and internal pay equity relative to peers.
Our target new hire base salary ranges for this role are the following:
- US employees in New York City, Los Angeles, Seattle, or the San Francisco Bay Area: $199,000 - $225,000
- US employees outside of New York City, Los Angeles, Seattle, or the San Francisco Bay Area: $180,000 - $202,400
