Role Overview

Position: Writing Expert – Freelance, RemoteCommitment: ~20+ hours/week, Duration: ~2 weeks (potential additional tasks)

Contribute to a high-impact AI research project by authoring prompt–golden answer pairs to train and evaluate advanced language models.

Responsibilities

• Review provided PDFs and select appropriate content for prompt–answer generation.
• Write clear, accurate, and insightful golden answers aligned with project guidelines.
• Use Markdown for formatting; LaTeX preferred for technical content.
• Ensure examples are original, relevant, and grounded in the source material.
• Collaborate asynchronously with Mercor’s support team.

Requirements / Qualifications

Must-Have Qualifications:

• Advanced degree (Master’s or PhD preferred) in humanities, education, STEM, or related fields.
• Strong writing skills and attention to detail.
• Familiarity with Markdown (required) and LaTeX (preferred).
• Ability to understand and summarize complex content.

Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience in prompt writing, technical editing, or curriculum design.

Engagement Details

$45/hour; Classified as an independent contractor; Remote and asynchronous work; Payments processed weekly via Stripe Connect.
