The Opportunity: Sr. Visual Designer
We are seeking a talented and experienced Sr. Visual Designer for a contract position. This remote role offers a compensation range of $75–$90 per hour and provides an exciting opportunity to contribute to a dynamic team focused on cutting-edge AI talent solutions.
Role Responsibilities
- Collaborate effectively with fellow designers to produce high-quality iconography and visual assets.
- Support the development and ongoing maintenance of comprehensive icon libraries across various sizes and thematic requirements.
- Design pixel-perfect, grid-aligned icons that consistently reflect Mercor's brand identity and established system guidelines.
- Expand upon existing icon standards and meticulously document usage rules in close coordination with design leads.
- Translate complex product requirements into visually compelling and highly engaging design solutions.
- Actively manage and incorporate feedback to continuously elevate overall design quality and user experience.
Qualifications
Must-Have
- Over 4 years of professional experience in graphic and visual design, spanning web, desktop, and mobile platforms.
- Demonstrated track record of successfully designing and implementing robust icon systems at scale.
- Expert-level proficiency with industry-standard tools including Figma, Adobe Photoshop, and Illustrator.
- Strong foundational understanding of vector construction, intricate grid systems, and critical accessibility considerations.
- Exceptional communication and compelling presentation abilities.
Preferred
- Prior experience contributing to the development or maintenance of a comprehensive design system.
- Solid understanding of efficient design-to-developer handoff practices and rigorous quality assurance (QA).
- Familiarity with 3D design and motion/animation techniques.
