This is a freelance opportunity for a Software Engineering Specialist to contribute to cutting-edge AI model performance and validation efforts.
Position Details
- Type: Freelance
- Compensation: $50–$150/hour
- Duration: 1–2 months
- Commitment: 15–25 hours/week, with flexibility up to 40 hours/week
- Start Date: Immediate
Role Responsibilities
As a Software Engineering Specialist at Mercor, you will play a crucial role in enhancing AI models through meticulous review and validation. Your responsibilities will include:
- Reviewing and refining AI-generated prompts, responses, and code.
- Validating algorithms and software concepts for technical accuracy.
- Providing structured feedback on solution quality and clarity.
- Tagging and organizing content by topic, difficulty, or language.
- Supporting benchmarking efforts to assess model capabilities.
- Working independently and asynchronously to meet deadlines while improving AI model performance.
Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you should possess the following:
Must-Have
- 2+ years of experience in software engineering, technical research, or educational content development.
- Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Strong proficiency in languages like Python, JavaScript, Java, or C++.
- Experience with debugging, testing, and validating code.
- Comfortable with technical writing and attention to detail.
