Position: Research Physician
As a Research Physician at Mercor, you will leverage your extensive medical expertise to evaluate and refine cutting-edge AI systems. This contract role offers flexible hours (20–40 hours/week) and a fully remote work arrangement, making it an ideal opportunity for a practicing MD looking to contribute to the future of healthcare AI.
Role Responsibilities
- Collaborate with research teams to evaluate and refine AI systems using your medical expertise.
- Develop diagnostic cases and rubrics to score responses effectively.
- Apply lab-based reasoning to stress-test AI applications in medicine.
- Work independently and asynchronously to meet project goals.
- Enhance AI model performance through structured feedback and analysis.
Qualifications
Must-Have
- U.S. based practicing MD.
- Strong experience with medical lab panels.
- 3+ years of medical experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Exceptional attention to detail and analytical thinking.
Preferred
- Interest in advancing AI applications in medicine and healthcare.
