Position: Economics Chart Analysis Expert

  • Type: Contract
  • Compensation: $75–$83/hour
  • Location: Remote
  • Commitment: 20 hours/week

Role Responsibilities

  • Author and review technical tasks to evaluate AI model performance on economics problems.
  • Produce original problem sets grounded in economic charts, econometric output, policy figures, and time-series plots.
  • Write reference solutions and apply structured quality checks to ensure accuracy.
  • Collaborate with AI research teams to enhance task quality and throughput.
  • Work independently and asynchronously with a flexible schedule to meet deadlines.

Qualifications

Must-Have
  • PhD in Economics, MS/MA in Economics with 3+ years applied, policy, or teaching experience, or BA/BS in Economics with 5+ years applied, industry, or research experience.
  • Working fluency in at least two of: micro, macro, econometrics, industrial organization, labor economics, development.
  • Comfortable interpreting economic charts, econometric output, policy figures, and time-series plots.
  • Clear technical writing skills with the ability to articulate reasoning step-by-step.
