This contract position for a Research Biologist offers a compensation of $60–$80/hour for approximately 2 months, with a commitment of 20–40 hours per week. The role is entirely remote.
Role Responsibilities for Research Biologist
- Write original and advanced IBO-style biology problems designed to challenge frontier AI models.
- Evaluate AI-generated solutions for correctness, clarity, and style, specifically identifying areas where models fail.
- Identify logical flaws, incomplete reasoning, or proofs that lack sufficient rigor.
- Provide clear, concise, and accurate solutions alongside a chain of thought reasoning, using proper LaTeX formatting.
- Maintain extremely high standards of precision and problem difficulty in all tasks.
Qualifications
Must-Have
- Master’s or PhD in biology (or a closely related field), or prior participation/medalist status in the IBO or equivalent competitions.
- Possess a deep understanding of core theoretical and experimental concepts within your biology domain.
- Demonstrated ability to clearly articulate reasoning and derivations in written form.
- Strong capability to evaluate the rigor and complexity of biology problems.
- Rigorous attention to detail when verifying solutions.
- Highly proficient in writing and formatting scientific documents using LaTeX.
