Role Overview

Position: Public Policy Specialist – Contract, RemoteCommitment: 20 hours per weekDuration: 2 months

Combine public policy expertise with language mastery to train AI models in public policy.

Responsibilities

• Translate and synthesize complex policy frameworks into structured rubrics for AI training.
• Write fluently in Japanese and English with accurate terminology.
• Provide cultural and policy insights unique to Japan.
• Collaborate with reviewers and peers to refine content.

Requirements / Qualifications

Must-Have:

• Native-level fluency in Japanese and strong English skills.
• Degree in policy, political science, sociology, or a related field.
• 2–6+ years of experience in politics, public policy, or think tanks.
• Excellent writing, analytical, and communication skills.

Preferred:

• Experience with grading, instructional design, or rubric development.
• Familiarity with generative AI models or machine learning concepts.

Engagement Details

• Remote and asynchronous role.
• 20 hours per week commitment.
• 2 months duration.
• Structured project environment with clear goals and tools.
