As a Project Development Lead at Mercor, you will join on a contract basis, focusing on crucial manufacturing operations and project coordination.
Role Responsibilities
- Execute work assignments across Vendor Management & Project Outsourcing and Work Management & Fulfillment.
- Coordinate prototype project workflows, ensuring timely customer fulfillment.
- Manage external manufacturing partnerships, maintaining quality standards for CNC and 3D Printing timelines.
- Process purchase orders and track order status for outsourced prototype work.
- Inspect vendor deliveries against technical specifications using measurement tools like calipers and micrometers.
- Update vendor tracking systems and coordinate shipping logistics for outsourced work.
Qualifications
Must-Have
- 1-2 years in manufacturing operations, prototype shops, or supply chain coordination.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and GD&T callouts.
- Proficiency with basic measurement tools for quality inspection.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects.
- Clear written and verbal communication for vendor coordination.
- Comfortable with order management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work in a shop floor environment and lift packages up to 50 lbs.
Preferred
- Experience in CNC machining or prototype manufacturing.
- Knowledge of machining processes and manufacturing terminology.
- Familiarity with 3D printing technologies and post-processing techniques.
- Understanding of shipping considerations for precision parts.
- Experience with ERP or job tracking software.
