As a Project Development Lead at Mercor, you will join on a contract basis, focusing on crucial manufacturing operations and project coordination.

Role Responsibilities

• Execute work assignments across Vendor Management & Project Outsourcing and Work Management & Fulfillment.
• Coordinate prototype project workflows, ensuring timely customer fulfillment.
• Manage external manufacturing partnerships, maintaining quality standards for CNC and 3D Printing timelines.
• Process purchase orders and track order status for outsourced prototype work.
• Inspect vendor deliveries against technical specifications using measurement tools like calipers and micrometers.
• Update vendor tracking systems and coordinate shipping logistics for outsourced work.

Qualifications

Must-Have

• 1-2 years in manufacturing operations, prototype shops, or supply chain coordination.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and GD&T callouts.
• Proficiency with basic measurement tools for quality inspection.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects.
• Clear written and verbal communication for vendor coordination.
• Comfortable with order management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work in a shop floor environment and lift packages up to 50 lbs.

Preferred

• Experience in CNC machining or prototype manufacturing.
• Knowledge of machining processes and manufacturing terminology.
• Familiarity with 3D printing technologies and post-processing techniques.
• Understanding of shipping considerations for precision parts.
• Experience with ERP or job tracking software.
