Position Overview
The Printed Circuit Board Design Engineer (also referred to as Electrical Design Engineer) is a contract role focused on managing electrical components for AR wearables and small electrical systems. The role involves full ownership of PCB fabrication including schematics, layouts, and collaboration with vendors.
Role Responsibilities
- Manage electrical parts and components in AR wearables.
- Work outside standard hours to collaborate with APAC vendors.
- Handle end-to-end PCB fabrication process from design to vendor approval.
- Lead design releases for flex and multi-layer boards from inception to production.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop flexible and rigid circuit boards.
- Oversee SMT and FATP builds ensuring schedule, quality, and yield optimization.
Qualifications
Must-Have: Direct experience in design releases for flex and MLB boards, managing SMT and FATP builds, and APAC contract manufacturer management.
Preferred: Experience with AR wearable device development, small electrical component integration, and advanced PCB fabrication techniques.
Compensation & Legal
Compensation is $90–$110/hour. Qualified applicants will be considered for assignment per relevant Fair Chance ordinances.
