Position: Physics Expert
Type: Contract
Compensation: $75–$83/hour
Location: Remote
Commitment: 20 hours/week
Role Responsibilities
- Author and review technical tasks to evaluate AI model performance on physics problems.
- Produce original problem sets grounded in experimental setups, field/wave diagrams, and phase-space plots.
- Write reference solutions and apply structured quality checks to ensure accuracy.
- Annotate tasks to improve AI model outputs and training data quality.
- Work independently and asynchronously to meet deadlines and enhance model performance.
- Collaborate with AI research teams to provide feedback and improve task quality.
Qualifications
Must-Have
- PhD in Physics, MS in Physics with 3+ years research or teaching experience, or BS in Physics with 5+ years tutoring, lab work, or applied physics practice.
- Working fluency in at least two of: classical mechanics, electromagnetism, quantum mechanics, thermodynamics/statistical mechanics, optics.
- Comfortable reading and interpreting experimental setups, field/wave diagrams, and phase-space plots.
- Clear technical writing; able to articulate reasoning step-by-step in written form.
