Position: EDI Market & Competitive Strategy Analyst
Type: Contract Compensation: $80–$130/hour Location: Remote
Role Responsibilities
- Conduct structured analysis of the EDI and fulfillment solutions market.
- Identify and compare unique product capabilities and vertical specialization.
- Assess competitive moats including network effects and regulatory barriers.
- Analyze defensibility of the current EDI landscape against AI disruption.
- Evaluate legacy providers versus AI-first startups.
- Develop forward-looking scenarios for market defense strategies.
Qualifications
Must-Have:
- 2+ years experience in enterprise SaaS market analysis, supply chain/logistics technology, EDI platforms, strategy consulting or private equity/venture capital diligence in enterprise software.
- Strong understanding of EDI standards (X12, EDIFACT), ERP integrations (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and supply chain workflows.
- Experience analyzing competitive moats and defensibility in enterprise software markets.
- Ability to evaluate AI disruption potential across technical and business dimensions.
- Strong written communication skills and analytical thinking.
Preferred:
- Experience in supply chain tech, logistics SaaS or B2B integration platforms.
- Experience evaluating AI-native enterprise software startups.
- Background in strategy consulting, growth equity or corporate strategy.
- Familiarity with automation and AI transformation in enterprise systems.
