Position Overview
Mercor is seeking a contract IT Project Manager to coordinate and oversee project activities. This role involves managing critical systems, consulting with various stakeholders, and potentially participating in staffing decisions, ensuring operational integrity and strategic computing development.
Role Responsibilities
- Review project plans to coordinate and oversee project activities.
- Manage backup, security, and user help systems to ensure operational integrity.
- Consult with users, management, vendors, and technicians to assess computing needs and system requirements.
- Meet with department heads, managers, supervisors, and vendors to solicit cooperation and resolve issues.
- Recruit, hire, train, and supervise staff, or participate in staffing decisions.
- Evaluate data processing proposals to assess project feasibility and requirements.
- Develop computer information resources, ensuring data security, strategic computing, and disaster recovery.
Qualifications
Must-Have
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
- Expert knowledge of circuit boards, processors, electronic equipment, and computer hardware and software.
- Expert knowledge of Visual Basic, Java, SQL, etc.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Leadership and mentoring skills for providing support and constructive feedback.
Preferred
- MBA or other related advanced degree.
- PMI or PMP certification.
